ASSEMBLYMEMBER MARTY BLOCK HONORED WITH LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD FROM THE MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY, PACIFIC SOUTH COAST CHAPTER

February 3, 2012 -- San Diego Assemblymember Marty Block, AD-78, was honored as the Legislator of the Year from the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter, on Saturday, January 28, 2012.
“I am very humbled to receive this honor from the Multiple Sclerosis Society,” said Block. “I enjoyed serving as a board member of the Pacific South Coast Chapter and will continue to support initiatives working to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.” 
In addition to serving on the board of the Pacific South Coast Chapter, Assemblymember Block also served as Chair of the Government Relations committee, working to make MS issues national issues.
 
“Assemblymember Block is working to improve the lives of Californians affected by MS,” said Richard V. Israel, Pacific South Coast Chapter president. “His support of affordable, quality health care and his advocacy for disability rights make him a champion that the Pacific South Coast Chapter is proud to honor.” 

Assemblymember Marty Block proudly represents the cities and communities of Bonita, Chula Vista, Lemon Grove, San Diego and Spring Valley.
