ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING IN SANTEE: $1,000 REWARD OFFERED

October 20, 2016 (Santee) — Public help is sought to locate a suspect wanted in connection to an attempted kidnapping of an 18-year-old woman at Mast Park in Santee on October 6th around noon.  Now the San Diego County Crime Stoppers and Santee Sheriff’s station investigators released a sketch of the suspect.

According to authorities, the woman had parked her car at Mast Park,9125 Carlton Hills Boulevard, and walked to a nearby coffee shop.  As she walked back toward her car, she saw she was being followed by two men in a silver sedan. 

The man in the passenger seat was “cat calling” her and making rude comments. The woman walked faster, but noticed but noticed the car with the two suspects also increased its speed. She became afraid and began to run toward her car. As she unlocked her car, the passenger in the sedan grabbed her arm. The woman was scared and thought that he was trying to pull her into their vehicle. She was able to pull her arm away from the suspect’s grip, get into her car and lock the doors. The suspects’ vehicle continued to drive into the parking lot of the park and the victim drove away.

The suspect in the passenger side of the silver sedan is described as a black male between the ages of 20‐30 years‐old. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap and black sunglasses.
