AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING HOMICIDE AND ATTEMPTED SUICIDE IN SPRING VALLEY

August 12, 2014 (Spring Valley) –The body of a woman who suffered traumatic injuries was found in a Spring Valley home in the 500 block of Parkbrook Street tonight.  A man found inside with self-inflicted lacerations on his wrists from an apparent suicide attempt has been arrested, after receiving treatment at a local hospital, said Sheriff’s Homicide Lieutenant Glenn Giannantonio.

The grisly discoveries were made at 6:45 p.m.  The identity of the suspect is being withhold pending identification of the victim and notification of family.

 The crime is being investigated by the Sheriff's Homicide Detail, Crime Laboratory personnel, and investigators from the Rancho San Diego Station.
