December 7, 2013 (Alpine) – On December 11th at 6 p.m., the curtain will rise at the Viejas Dreamcatchers Lounge to reveal results of this year’s Viejas Holiday Toy Drive. The goal is to bring in donations of 10,000 toys to brighten the holidays for East County families in need.

The Viejas band of the Kumeyaay Indians joins in the 39th annual East County Toy Drive to support Stoney’s Kids and Salvation Army of East County.

Last year, Viejas brought in 7,426 toys. If this year’s goal of 10,000 toys is reached, it is believed that this will be the most toys raised for charity by any company in San Diego County. View video of last year’s “big reveal”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh92xAhrWv0&feature=youtu.be

The event is open to the public. The Dream Catcher lounge is located inside Viejas Casino at 5000 Willows Road, Alpine, CA 91901 from 6 to 9 p.m. on December 11. Admission is $20 and includes heavy appetizers, silent and live auctions, and opportunity drawings.

You must be 18 or over to attend. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $20 or in advance by calling Sandy Webb at (619) 440-4683 or Jane Moore at (619) 977-1712.
