BODY FOUND IN BURNED ALPINE HOME

May 13, 2015 (Alpine) – Yesterday at 1:55 p.m., detectives from the Alpine Sheriff’s station responded to a radio call reporting a structure fire in the 1400 block of Marshall Road in Alpine.  Finding a home fully engulfed in flames, deputies evacuated nearby neighbors and check surroundings for any victims.

Alpine Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire.  During the investigation, a body was found inside the home. The Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.  Cause and manner of death will be determined by an autopsy.
