BOMB SQUAD IN LA MESA

Update: A briefcase inspected by investigators has been found to be harmless.

September 4, 2013 (La Mesa) - The Sheriff's Bomb Squad has been dispatched to check a suspicious package at the Social Security Administration office in La Mesa, Lt. Amos with the Sheriff's office has informed ECM.



La Mesa Boulevard  eastbound is shut down in the 8000 block near University Avenue, according to an alert sent by the City of La Mesa to residents.
