WRITERS

 

Jan 9, Feb. 13, March 13 : PINE VALLEY 7-8 p.m.

          Writer’s Group. Every 2nd Tuesday. Adult.

 

Jan 13 and 27: CAMPO-MORENA VILLAGE 10:30 a.m - 12 p.m.

Writer’s Group. 2nd and 4th Saturday.  “Writers and those who want to write - bring a page of your work for helpful feedback, and bring a pen and notebook for writing exercises!”. Adult.

 

Jan 24 : POWAY 3:30 p.m.

            Tween Writing Club. Afternoon of creative storytelling. Geared for tweens grades 3-5.

 

Jan 2, Feb 6, and March 6 : LA MESA 5 - 6 p.m.

Grief Support Writing Workshop. First Tuesday. Adult. VITAS Hospice hosts a drop-in group to explore and better understand your grief through written expression. Not a writer? No problem! We will provide suggested topics for you to get started, or you can write what you wish. This group is supportive, non-judgmental, and free.

Jan 31 : LEMON GROVE 6 - 7 p.m.

Book publishing & writing 1, 2, &3 Workshop. Grab a pen and join us for this lively class which will teach you how to connect with literary agents, boost your creativity and promote your writing. Presenter Laurie Gibson has worked with authors like Brian Tracy and Alice Walker.

Create a dish using a library cookbook (from the current theme) at home, then join us for a monthly group discussion in the library. Participants are encouraged to bring a small sample for the group to taste and the specific recipe book used to each meeting. Adult, older adult.
