November 7, 2013 (San Diego) – Members of the Delta Upsilon fraternity at San Diego State  University want to combat the stereotype of fraternity men. The “Building a Better Man” program launched over a year ago, aimed at developing leadership, character development and professional training, along with mentoring and networking opportunities.

Fraternity members also participate in community service, such as reading to local elementary students and giving out food to those in need through the Feeding America program.

Delta Upsilon fraternity has a zero-tolerance policy for hazing and focuses on four founding principles; the promotion of friendship, diffusion of liberal culture, development of character and advancement of justice.
