September 29, 2016 (El Cajon) - The public is invited to attend a Building Re-dedication and Open House for Valhalla High School's Modernized Main Building and Theater on Tuesday, October 11. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by tours of the facility from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The 40-year-old Main Building was completely modernized and features a new theater, CTE specialty classrooms, Special Education suites, Student Support Services, Food Services and more. The project also includes new technology upgrades as well as electrical, plumbing, heating/AC, and fire alarm upgrades to the four-level, round building. In addition, solar carports were installed over the student lot.
Construction was completed in time to welcome students for the first day of school. The Modernized Building and Theater at Valhalla High School is a part of the Proposition U bond, passed in November 2008 by East County voters.
