By Miriam RafteryAugust 6, 2019 (San Diego) – Effective August 3, you no longer need to dial the prefixes 01, 044, or 045 when calling Mexico.
When calling inside Mexico, you will only need to dial ten digits, without the 01. 044 or 045 formerly required at the beginning.
When calling from outside Mexico, you won’t need to dial 1 to call mobile numbers, as was formerly required after the country code, 52.
