September 16, 2016 (Lemon Grove) – East County Magazine invites you to attend a forum with candidates running for Helix Water District’s board and Lemon Grove Mayor.  The forum will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at the Lemon Grove Library (3001 School Lane).  You can meet and greet candidates from 5 to 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Come meet the candidates,  hear their goals for the future and responses to questions posed by East County Magazine’s editor, plus bring questions on issues that matter most to you!

Lemon Grove will soon have a new Mayor,  since Mayor Mary Sessom is retiring.  All three candidates have agreed to participate in our forum:  Councilmembers George Gastil and Racquel Vasquez, as well as Teresa  Rosiak, former Chamber of Commerce president.

Eight candidates are vying for two seats on the Helix Water District board.  So far, five have RSVPd that they will participate:  incumbent John Linden and challengers Mark Gracyk, Dan McMillan, Louis Tejeda and Aaron Zajac.  Most have extensive experience in the water business.   From water rates to the future of Lake Jennings, the Helix Water board will have many important issues to address.
