September 20, 2011 (Lemon Grove) – Most visitors drive their vehicles onto a car dealership’s lot. But an out-of-control motorist dropped into Bob Baker’s dealership in Lemon Grove—literally--from above.
A white Toyota Scion has rolled off Highway 94 and landed on top of two new cars at the Bob Baker car dealership.
Although an ambulance was initially called, the 19-year-old girlfriend carried his girl into the dealership and both declined medical treatment, ECM news partner 10 News reports. They were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, which the driver told authorities happened when he swerved to avoid another vehicle.
The driver took a breathalyzer test and passed. He will not be cited, CHP has indicated.
