CHILD ACCIDENTALLY RUN OVER BY MOTHER DIES

October 1, 2010 (San Diego) – A 22-month-old toddler accidentally run over by her mother yesterday has died. She has been identified by the San Diego Coroner’s office as Lauren Garibay, daughter of Florence Street.

Witnessed reported that the child ran into an alley in front of her home at 3715 Florence Street in east San Diego yesterday morning and was accidentally struck by the van, which was driven by her mother who had several passengers in the car.
 

Medics transported the child to Rady’s Children’s Hospital with CPR in progress. She suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and was pronounced dead later the same date by medical staff. No charges are pending and the tragedy is considered an accident.
