VETERANS FINANCIAL PLANNING & BENEFITS SEMINAR JUNE 21

June 19 (Chula Vista, CA) -- Veterans and active duty military will get access to financial planning advice and help with their benefits at a free afternoon seminar on Monday, June 21, 2010. A number of topics will be covered including the availability of tax breaks, eligibility for veterans’ benefits, small business assistance and professional pro bono financial planning advice.

 

The seminar is open to veterans, current active duty, their spouses, dependents and survivors. Featured speakers include, among others, the Veterans Benefits Administration, the US Small Business Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, the Employment Development Department and the San Diego County Veterans Service Office. There will also be a special presentation by the Financial Planning Association of San Diego County.

The San Diego County Veterans Service Office, United Veterans Council of San Diego County, San Diego County Veterans Coalition and the Financial Planning Association of San Diego are sponsoring the event along with Controller Chiang and Congressman Filner.
