Public Workshops to be Held in Pine Valley and Ramona, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1

January 30, 2011 (San Diego’s East County) -- The County of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of a Cost Recovery, Resource Allocation, and Revenue Enhancement Study to ensure the sustainability of parks and recreation in the future.  Residents of Pine Valley and Ramona are invited to participate in this process to help the County determine how to allocate future Parks resources.

These community meetings are part of a series of meetings the Parks and Recreation Department has conducted throughout the county to help determine the type of services the public desires and pricing options for identified programs.

The community workshops will take place as follows:

• Monday, January 31 at 6:00 p.m. – Ramona Community Center, 434 Aqua Lane in Ramona
• Tuesday, February 1 at 6:00 p.m. – Pine Valley Community Club House , 28890 Old Highway 80 in Pine Valley

For questions regarding the study or public meetings, please contact Sabrina Powell at (858) 966-1303 or visit www.sdparks.org.
