February 25, 2018 (El Cajon) – The new Courtyard Marriott Hotel will hold its grand opening this week on February 28th.  in the heart of downtown El Cajon complete with a restaurant and bar, fitness center, business and wedding facilities.

Located at 141 north Magnolia Ave. (at the corners of Rea Ave & Civic Center Way) just off Main street, this luxury hotel is helping to transform El Cajon from a blighted community years ago into what has become an attractive destination for visitors and business travelers in San Diego County.

The new hotel will feature 110 standard spacious rooms, plus 10 full suites.  Prices vary, according to Rachel Lynch, director of sales.

Guests can enjoy a breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Courtyard Bistro & Bar right inside the hotel. Or have a cocktail at the Bistro’s Bar in the lobby, and wind down from a busy day.

You can keep your exercise routine going at the hotel fitness center, or outdoor pool, then relax in a rejuvenating whirlpool.

Weddings? Yes, the Courtyard can host your event, with food catering provided. Special room rates are available for wedding guests wishing to stay for a while.

Business meetings can be held here as well, with a variety of conference and business facilities both indoors and outdoors. Plus, the hotel offers room rate discounts for overnight business event attendees.

High speed Internet is also available in the hotel to keep you connected with everyone.

El Cajon continues rising like the mythological Phoenix emerging from the pyre and ashes to be reborn as new, with sidewalk cafes and many new shops opened in recent years. Next up, the East County Performing Art Center is slated to reopen by next year, just one block from the Marriott under management of Live Nation, bringing top-flight entertainment to El Cajon.

This community has been making great strides as a result of the actions of city leaders, businesses, and many others striving to build a better, safer place for everyone to live.
