DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR TO DEBATE IN SAN DIEGO

February 1, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego County Democratic Party is hosting its first-ever gubernatorial debate on Thursday, February 22nd at the Jacobs Center, 404 Euclid Ave., San Diego.

All four leading Democrats running for governor of California are confirmed to participate: Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, former Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin and State Treasurer John Chiang.

The event runs from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; guests are asked to arrive by 4 p.m.

Co-sponsored with the Rancho Santa Fe Democratic Club, the debate will take place on the eve of the California Democratic Party Convention here in San Diego, when Party delegates will vote on endorsing in the governor's race. Seating is limited due to interest in this event around the state, so early reservations are advised: www.sddemocrats.org/debate.
