February 8, 2023 (Santee) – The driver of a Ford Focus has been airlifted to a hospital with severe injuries sustained in a crash so violent that the vehicle blew apart, as surveillance video shown on CBS 8 reveals.

According to Sergeant Dwain Washington with the San Diego Sheriff’s department, the silver Ford Focus was traveling south on North Magnolia in Santee shortly before 6 a.m., approaching the Prospect intersection. A white Ford F-350 pickup truck traveling west on Prospect collided with the car, crushing its  front end and sending the engine flying into the roadway.

Deputies from the Santee Sheriff’s station and firefighters from the Santee Fire Department responded.  Firefighters extracted the trapped driver from the Ford Focus and he was airlifted to a hospital; no update on his condition has been provided.

The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries and was also transported to a hospital.

The Santee Sheriff's Station's Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. At this time, neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the collision.

STUPID actions get stupid results

Every day, all these idiots running red lights and red left turn arrows. No regard for the laws. You want to kill yourselves,, go for it. Removing you people from the gene pool is a good idea. If this jerk who was on his cell phone or doing what he probably does everyday...running red lights survives, I hope the truck driver sues him into oblivion. Stupid needs to really hurt!
