DROOPY EARLOBES? GO UP A NOTCH

October 15, 2013 (San Diego’s East Coutny) -- Droopy earlobes?  Here’s my solution: go up a notch.  Get a hole pierced higher than your original hole--not up the side of the earlobe but directly above.  This allows the lower hole to heal, over time. Wear dangling earrings  to camouflage the original piercing.

I  imagined this as a solution for my own earlobes.  I asked the clerk at Pagoda Kiosk in the Parkway Plaza Mall to do this to my both my ears.  It worked.

Google droopy earlobes and a number of YouTube videos explore ways to deal with this issue, which can arise from having an earring accidently ripped off , piercings stretched from wearing wire earrings, or simply age..

Yes, Virginia – earlobes do grow and elongate with age.  This is why your grandpa’s ears really do look so different than the ones pictured in his youth.

Surgery, special earrings, even special attachments for your hanging chandeliers are already out there.

While this solution may not be for everyone, a new, higher location for your earrings should cover your old, elongated hole.

Staff at piercing kiosks  confirm that ears can also be different sizes – one ear slightly bigger than the other- or grow differently.  Imagine trying to do a perfect piercing on ears that are attached at slightly varying heights.

Consider taking it up a notch if droopy earlobes is an issue for you.  Or consider surgery ---if you have not already emptied out the piggy bank on other cosmetic surgeries.  Let the needles fly.
