SANTEE TO STATE: FUND STUDENTS’ MENTAL HEALTH
 

January 4, 2011 (San Diego Union-Tribune)-- SANTEE — A third school district in East County has passed a resolution demanding the state restore mental-health funding for students with disabilities.
 

The Santee School District joined its colleagues in La Mesa-Spring Valley and Lemon Grove by unanimously voting in favor of full funding to pay for the services at its Board of Education meeting Tuesday night.

SYCUAN’S NEW TRIBAL COUNCIL ANNOUNCED
 

December 27, 2011 (San Diego Union-Tribune) -- DEHESA — The Sycuan General Council has elected its new Tribal Council. Officers and Council members will assume four-year terms of office starting Jan. 3.
The 2011-14 Tribal Council includes Chairman Daniel Tucker; Vice Chairman Ricci LaBrake; Secretary Candelita Billingsly; Treasurer LaShunna Davidson; and Council members Orlando Sandoval, Jamie LaBrake and Henry R. “Misu” Murphy.
