July 7, 2019 (San Diego's East County) - Here are this week's East County alumni highlights:

June 30:

Valhalla product Greg Garcia went 1 for 4 for the Padres with a single as they were defeated in 11 innings by the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3. 

Granite Hills product Travis Tajeron went 1 for 4 with a solo home run for the Syracuse Mets as they defeated the Buffalo Bisons 10-4. 

July 1:

Grossmont's Ben Brault appeared as a pinch hitter for the Pittsburgh Pirates as he went 1 for 1 with a single and one run scored as they defeated the Chicago Cubs 18-5. 
 
Greg Garcia went 1 for 1 with a single for the San Diego Padres as they were defeated by the San Francisco Giants 13-2. 
 
July 2:
 
Grossmont's Joe Musgrove started on the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates as he pitched three innings and gave up one hit and struck out four batters as they defeated the Chicago Cubs 5-1.  Musgrove didn't get the win. 
 
Greg Garcia went 1 for 3 with a single for the San Diego Padres as they were defeated by the San Francisco Giants 10-4. 
 
Travis Tajeron went 2 for 3 with a double, a single and one RBI for the Syracuse Mets as they defeated the Rochester Red Wings by a 7-6 score. 
 
July 3:
 
Greg Garcia went 3 for 4 with three singles for the Padres as they were defeated by the San Francisco Giants 7-5.
 
West Hills standout Stephen Strasburg improves his record to 10-4 on the season as he pitched 7.1 innings and gave up two hits, two walks and struck out 14 for the Washington Nationals as they defeated the Miami Marlins 3-1. 
 
Travis Tajeron went 2 for 4 with two siingles and two RBIs for the Syracuse Mets as they defeated the Buffalo Bisons 7-5. 
 
July 5:
 
Ben Brault started on the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates as he pitched four innings and gave up three hits, one run (three earned), two walks and struck out four as they lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 7-6 in 10 innings.  Brault didn't register the win.
