EL CAJON ANIMAL SHELTER CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY JUNE 1-2

May 10, 2019 (El Cajon) -- Last year’s grand opening of the new El Cajon Animal Shelter is being commemorated June 1 and 2 with free rabies shots and discounted spay/neuter services. See below for schedule and details.

June 1: The Aces Foundation (nonprofit supporting the shelter) will pay for rabies shots for up to 50 dogs(first come, first serve) from 10 am to 2 pm Saturday, June 1at the Animal Shelter at 1373 N. Marshall, El Cajon to El Cajon residents.  The shelters new veterinarian, Dr. Christina Van Spronson, will be giving the shots.  El Cajon residents will then be able to purchase the dog licenses required by the City for dog ownership (at regular cost).  Just show up at the shelter at 10 am and look for the Aces table in front of the shelter for direction.

 

June 2: SNAP the spay and neuter bus will, once again, be spaying and neutering dogs and cats in the El Cajon Animal Shelter parking lot.  call SNAP at 619-525-3047 to get on the appointment schedule for June 2.  ACES Foundation will be paying a portion of the spay/neuter, your responsibility will be $30 per animal.
