January 14, 2019 (Alpine) – An El Cajon man, 29, died last night in a solo motorcycle crash in Alpine.
The victim was riding a black 2017 Harley Davidson northbound on Tavern Road at Victoria Park Terrace at a high rate of speed, when he missed a curve and drifted across the roadway, striking a concrete wall.
The rider was ejected onto the roadway. Fire personnel responded but the rider was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Officer Travis Garrow.
“The investigation is ongoing however, currently it is unknown if drugs or alcohol are a factor in this collision” says Officer Garrow. The medical examiner’s office will release the victim’s identity after family is notified.
