January 1, 2010 (El Cajon)--The FBI and local law enforcement are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the man responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank, 2366 Jamacha Road, El Cajon, on Monday, December 20th. The suspect entered the bank at around 3:05 p.m. carrying a black umbrella in his right hand to conceal the right side of his face. Once at the teller counter the robber pulled out a demand note using his left hand.

According to FBI special agent Darrell Foxworth, the robber fumbled with the note as he unfolded the note and presented it to the teller. After reading the note, the victim teller provided the robber with a sum of money. The robber placed the money into a black rectangle plastic container. After receiving a sum of money, the robber walked out of the bank.

The robber, estimated to be in his late ‘40s, is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, approximately 140-150 pounds, with patches of facial hair described as dark brown and scruffy. He wore a black, knee-length pea coat and small, round orange-tinted glasses, and had a large, rectangular tan band-aid on his upper right cheek.
