December 9, 2023 (La Mesa) - In partnership with the FBI San Diego Elder Justice Task Force, the FBI San Diego Citizens Academy Alumni Association and the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation’s Senior Center Coalition will host a series of one-hour elder fraud information sessions for seniors, caregivers and neighbors.
The programs will be held in early 2024 across the County, including a La Mesa event in East County on January 19. Below is the full schedule:
- THURSDAY, JANUARY 4 AT 10:30 a.m. at the JFS College Avenue Senior Center
- FRIDAY, JANUARY 19 AT 12:30 p.m. at the City of La Mesa Adult Enrichment Center
- TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6 AT 1 p.m. at the San Marcos Senior Activity Center
- TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20 AT 1:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center
- WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6 AT 5 p.m. at the City of Vista Senior Center
Registration is now open for these presentations and, as more are scheduled, they will be added to SDElderFraud.com. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors to help prevent more seniors from falling victims to scams.
