July 20, 2009 (In-Ko-Pah) – CAL-FIRE is battling a five-acre brush fire approximately one and a half miles north of I-8, just west of the Imperial-San Diego County line near In-Ko-Pah.
“The area is inaccessible by engine, so helicopters and air tankers are currently flying in air support,” CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Nick Schuler informed East County Magazine. “Forward spread of the fire has been stopped, but we expect to be out there all day,” he said, adding that no structures are threatened and the freeway remains open.
Currently four air tankers, four helicopters, four hand crews, and five engines are at the scene, Schuler reported from In-Ko-Pah.

Fire
Fire caused by broken glass left by shooters. As normally happens in these areas. Hope that they collect evidence and bill for the Fire Services.
