December 18, 2017 (El Cajon) – Over 150 homeless children living at East County Transitional Living Center received gifts of clothing, athletic shoes, and a good dose of Christmas joy at the fifth annual Christmas Party last Saturday in ECTLC's community hall.

Gifts were provided by the Church of the Nativity Catholic Parish located in Rancho Santa Fe as a part of their "giving tree" whereby parishioners purchase a personal gift for each child.

San Miguel Fire District Firefighters were on hand to give each homeless child a gift and a warm smile. And to play guitar and sing Christmas songs.

Cajon Valley Republican Business Women Federated served up cake and ice cream.

The program also included singing of Christmas carols, story telling, refreshments and gift giving.

Over 150 children are living at East County Transitional Living Center as their parents are transforming from homelessness into becoming self-sufficient, tax-paying citizens.
