May 27, 2015 (San Diego’s East County)--Ford Motor Company has announced two recalls of its vehicles.
The first is a recall of nearly 20,000 new Ford Mustangs to replace a heat shield around gas tanks with 2.3 liter engines.
The second recall is to fix faulty power steering that has caused four accidents in Ford sedans, though thus far no one has been injured. An electrical problem could cause loss of power steering, the automaker warns.
The power steering recall includes Ford Taurus and Flex crossovers manufactured in 2011 to 2013, as well as Lincoln MKS and MKT. Also included are the 2011 and 2012 Ford Fusion, the Lincoln MKZ and some 2011 Mercury Milan cars.
