


August 17, 2019 (El Cajon) – More than 1,200 community members have been working on a Forester Creek Recreation Access Plan, including volunteers who formed the Forester Creek Community Committee. You’re invited to a party to celebrate release of the new Forest Creek Recreation Access Plan on Tuesday, August 27 from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. at the Renette Park Community Center meeting room west at 9353 Emerald Ave., El Cajon.

Local input was synthesized by the 606 Studio at Cal Poly Pomona into a 300+ page report. The final plan is a strategic blueprint for meeting the recreation needs of El Cajon residents and includes an interconnected network of schools, parks and creek-side open spaces.

This project was implemented by the San Diego River Park Foundation in partnership with the City of El Cajon. It was funded by the San Diego County Water Authority and the State of California Department of Water Resources, Proposition 1: Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014.
