FULL FREEWAY CLOSURE ON STATE ROUTE 52 WESTBOUND WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHTS

Dip Repairs Scheduled Wednesday and Thursday Nights

May 10, 2016 (San Diego) -- Caltrans crews will close all westbound lanes on State Route 52 (SR-52) from Interstate 15 (I-15) to Convoy Street Wednesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. to repair pavement dips.

The connector ramps from northbound and southbound State Route 163 (SR-163) and I-15 as well as the Kearny Villa Road on-ramp to westbound SR-52 will also be closed.

The following detours will be in place:

• Westbound SR-52 and Southbound SR-163: South on SR-163, west on Interstate 8 (I-8), north on Interstate 5 to SR-52

• Northbound SR-163: North on SR-163, north on Interstate 805 to westbound SR-52

• Northbound I-15: North on I-15, west on Balboa Avenue, north on I-805 to westbound SR-52

• Southbound I-15: South on I-15, west on I-8, north on I-805 to westbound SR-52

Changeable messages signs have been placed to alert mororists about the upcoming closures.

Drivers are reminded to Be Work Zone Alert and to Move Over a lane when safe to do so or slow when highway workers are present with amber lights flashing.
