October 22, 2010 (San Diego) – San Diego Police report two incidents today involving young teens approached while walking in San Diego’s eastern areas. At 7:55 a.m., a 14-year old walking towards Hoover High School at 4400 University Avenue in Talmdage told police that a man wearing clothing with paint on them walked up behind her and grabbed her buttocks, telling her to go with him.
She refused and rushed to school, where she reported the incident. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, age 30 to 40, clean shaven with acne scars and dark brown, short messy hair, brown eyes, and a thin build. He wore a long-sleeve white shirt and white pants with paint on them SDPD’s sex crimes unit is investigating the lewd act.
At 2:20 p.m. this afternoon, a 12-year-old girl walking northbound in the 300 block of south 40th Street was approved by a 20-year-old Hispanic male driving a newer silver or grey two-door pickup truck. He pulled over, asked directions, then asked if the girl wanted a ride. She refused and kept walking. The suspect had short black hair, pock marks on his left cheek, was skinny and wore an orange shirt with blue jeans. SDPD’s southeastern division is investigating the incident as an annoying a child offense.
