February 27, 2017 (San Diego) — After receiving customer reports of glass pieces found in Trader Joe’s unsweetened applesauce jars, the supermarket chain has issued a voluntary recall on three varieties of its applesauce.
The recalled products are Trader Joe's "First Crush Unsweetened Gravenstein Apple Sauce," "Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce" and "All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce." The first two sauces were sold nationwide, and the last was sold in California and 12 other states.
Anyone who purchased these products is urged to bring them back to the stores and receive refunds. The products have been removed from store shelves.
