April 25, 2012 (El Cajon)--The Grossmont College Theatre Arts Department will present “Lost in Yonkers,” a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play by Neil Simon, at 7:30 p.m. on May 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 12, and at 2 p.m. on May 5 and 12. Performances will be held at the Stagehouse Theatre, located on campus, near Parking Lot #1 and the exterior Aztec wall mural. The public is invited to attend.

Featuring Grossmont College drama students and directed by Grossmont College Theatre Arts instructor Jeannette Thomas, “Lost in Yonkers” is a story set in 1942 about brothers Artie and Jay who learn about the definition of family from their gangster uncle, an aunt with the mentality of a child and a steely, formidable grandmother who struggles to understand love. Will it be the longest ten months of their lives? Or will they all learn that “love” comes in many forms? “Lost in Yonkers” contains adult situations and language.

General admission for each performance is $12 per person. All major credit cards are accepted. The box office will open one hour prior to all performances.
