Vaping May Be Associated with Seizures, FDA Warns (Time)

 

E-cigarettes are often thought of as a less dangerous alternative to cigarettes, since they contain fewer lung-cancer-causing chemicals. But preliminary research has also shown health risks associated with nicotine-rich e-cigarettes, including a higher probability of heart and lung problems. / Now, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is alerting Americans to a new potential health risk. Using e-cigarettes, also known as vaping, may be associated with seizures, especially among young people, the FDA announced Wednesday.

Amazon plans to launch over 3,000 satellites to offer broadband internet (Reuters)

 

Amazon.com Inc on Thursday confirmed its plan to build a network of over 3,000 satellites through “Project Kuiper” to provide high speed internet. / The project will launch a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to people globally who lack basic access to broadband internet, the company said.

Vaping is bad for one's health along with smoking, yet many will remain in denial, with some claiming the data is untrue. A few will actually quit after realizing these are indeed unhealthful habits. Many will unfortunately die from smoking related causes years later (Leonard Nimoy C.O.P.D.). Too early what serious, long term affects vaping will have beyond the new data being discovered recently, but it doesn't bode well for those who have been decided to switch, or start vaping because some promoters advertised it as non harmful.
