July 25, 2014 (San Diego’s East County)- A hazardous weather warning remains in effect through tonight across our region, with high temperatures expected to continue through this weekend, cooling slightly.

Thunderstorms are also moving across the region.

Use caution if outdoors and if you hear thunder, go indoors or into a vehicle to avoid lightning that can travel for several miles even in clear skies.

Drink plenty of water and avoid strenuous activity if possible during the excessive heat, and never leave children, the elderly or pets in a hot car, even for a few minutes since heat stroke can occur.
