May 16, 2016 (New Orleans) - Talk about a change of scenery.  Jimmy Pruitt has gone from the small town of La Mesa to the campus of San Jose State and now, he's going to the Big Easy.

The 23-year-old Helix alum and six foot, 203-pound defensive back became the fourth player to sign with the New Orleans Saints after their three day rookie minicamp that ended Sunday.

Pruitt's resume makes him NFL-worthy; at SJSU, he started in his last three seasons and earned honorable mention all-Mountain West as a junior and senior.  Also as a senior playing, he made three interceptions, one for a pick six and broke up seven passes.

At the NFL combine, Pruitt ran the 40 yard dash in 4.73 seconds and bench pressed 19 reps.
