HIGH WINDS, RAIN AND SNOW TO AFFECT HOLIDAY TRAVEL

December 24, 2015 (San Diego’s East County) – The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning in effect from Christmas Eve through Christmas morning in San Diego’s mountain and desert regions.  Winds of 35-40 miles per hour with gusts up to 80 mph are forecast. 

A cold front is also moving across the region, bringing rain and snow down as low as 3,000 feet.

Use caution if you’re traveling over the holidays.  Wind damage, blowing sand and power outages are possible.

There is also a coastal flooding hazard through Friday morning, with tides up to 7.6 feet.
