December 3, 2014 (San Diego’s East County) - Grossmont Symphony Orchestra and Master Chorale will offer a unique performance on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. centered around E.T.A. Hoffman’s holiday favorite—The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. Well-known actress Bobbie Helland joins the ensemble reciting from the story “in the first person.”

This special Holiday concert will be presented in a new concert venue—the beautiful, 500-seat concert hall located at Greenfield Middle School (1495 Greenfield Drive in El Cajon). The GSOMC welcomes the Concert Band and Music Theatre Class from Greenfield on this program. The ensembles, separately and combined round out the evening with performances of secular and sacred Christmas vignettes, including a traditional Carol Sing-Along.

There is no admission fee, though donations are welcome.
