HOME START NAMES RICK ROARK AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

June 11, 2018 (San Diego’s East County) -- Home Start, a non-profit child abuse prevention and treatment agency that has strengthened and developed San Diego’s families and communities since 1972, has named East County resident Rick Roark as its Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Home Start, Roark served as CFO at Serving Seniors. His responsibilities included oversight of the fiscal affairs of two affordable housing apartment buildings for seniors. He was instrumental in the start of another housing project and had responsibility for all fiscal aspects of Serving Seniors. Previous to this position, Roark was CFO at the San Diego Center for Children. San Diego Center for Children provides much needed care and treatment for children and adolescents suffering with emotional disabilities and mental illnesses. He also served as Director of Accounting for Goodwill Industries of San Diego.

Roark graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Hayward. 

Founded in 1972, Home Start, Inc. is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit agency that provides services tailored to prevent child abuse and neglect and to strengthen families.
