November 23, 2011 (Washington D.C.) - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning on Thanksgiving Eve. No, it's not a terrorist threat.  The danger lies in failing to thoroughly thaw out a turkey before attempted to deep fry it.

A video shows the fiery consequences. Underwriter Laboratories warns that it has refused to give its approval to the deep fryers due to several risks, including the ease with which units can tip over and spill hot oil, lack of insulated handles, and the fire danger posed by deep-frying a partially frozen bird.
