October 19, 2011 (Lakeside) – A male body was found in a home in the 11400 block of Rocky Lane in Lakeside yesterday morning. Deputies responded to a call at 10:38 a.m. and requested that the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail respond due to suspicious circumstances at the scene.
Investigators from the Santee Sheriff's Station, Sheriff’s Homicide Detail and Crime Lab, as well as the U.S. Border Patrol are participating in this investigation. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time, according to Lieutenant Larry Nesbitt, Sheriff’s Homicide Detail.
Positive identification of the decedent and the manner and cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
