HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION IN DEATH OF 22-YEAR-OLD SPRING VALLEY WOMAN

November 1, 2014 (Spring Valley) – Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the death of Victoria Lynn Lyman, 22, who died after suffering traumatic injuries.

Deputies from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station responded to a call to assist the fire department at a home in the 9100 block of Circulo Margen in Spring Valley at 9:38 a.m.  Para medics performed CPR on the victim, who was transported to Grossmont Hospital, where she was pronounced dead despite the efforts of paramedics and hospital staff.

“Ms. Lyman had visible signs of traumatic injury, although it is not known at this time if those injuries contributed to her death,” said Lieutenant John Maryon with the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail. Cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.
