July 3, 2024 (Jacumba Hot Springs) – The Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel hosts a variety of events coming up in July, including 4th of July at the Ritual Pool, the monthly  Bathhouse Bazaar, to DJ nights in the Exotic Desert Hideaway Bar, and concerts with live local bands at the Old Bathhouse. 

 

Come for an evening, a weekend, or buy a day pass to soak in the mineral pool or rent a poolside cabana to relax before enjoying nightlife after dark.

The Centuries & DJ Keke – 4th of July at the Ritual Pool 

Thursday, July 4

Doors Open 5:30pm / Show begins 6:00pm 

An evening of classic rockabilly. The Centuries, a dynamic rocking band from Los Angeles, has been igniting stages across the United States and beyond since 2011. The Centuries deliver a high-energy performance wherever they go - beginning 6PM at the Ritual Pool.  

Including a special appearance by DJ Keke, spinning 50s & 60s vinyl beginning 8PM at the Exotic Desert Hideaway Bar.  

The Ritual Pool is open from 9am-9pm. Day Passes are $35.

T-Kay and Samira Lamont are memory workers and Dublab DJs based in Los Angeles with deep crates of worldwide diasporic sounds. T-Kay is an archivist/librarian, and her musical curation reflects her experience in record digging while preserving cultural heritage worldwide. Samira Lamont is an academic, music writer, and label head with Preference Records and The Village Records.

A duo originally from Los Angeles, CA playing vernacular music from the early half of the 1900’s at the Exotic Desert Hideaway Bar.

Doors Open 7:30pm / Show begins 8:00pm 

Nominated for the Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Album in 2020, they are one of the few gaita ensembles with commercially produced music, making them the most important musical groups of gaitas and Cumbia in Colombia and worldwide. Their album, Un Fuego de Sangre Pura (Fire in the Blood), from the Smithsonian Folkways Series Recordings of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C., won the Latin Grammy Award 2007 for Best Traditional Album, competing against highly recognized artists such as Muñequitos de Matanzas from Cuba. Playing live at the Old Bathhouse.

An American psychedelic rock ensemble based in Portland OR bringing the nostalgia of '60s and '70s European soundtracks to life at the Old Bathhouse. Reverb & Seduction is the legendary Portland band's most immersive and varied album to date.  

 

Braxton Hicks 

Saturday, July 27

Doors Open 7:30pm / Show begins 8:00pm 

The rowdiest country brand in town, Braxton Hicks's song roots can be easily traced to a deep love and curiosity for 1970s country songwriters (Gram Parsons, Waylon Jennings, Townes Van Zandt, etc.), playing live at the Old Bathhouse.
