June 27, 2024 (San Diego's East County) -- Tonight's Presidential debate . between Presidents Joe Biden, 81, and Donald Trump, 78, is set for 6 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, hosted by CNN. It will be their first debate in the 2024 cycle as neither participated in debates during their respective primaries. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., 70, did not qualify for the debate per CNN qualifying rules.

Unlike the Superbowl, it will be very easy to tune into the CNN Debates moderated by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash no matter your t.v., streaming, internet or radio routine.

In addition to being aired on CNN, the debate is expected to be simulcast locally by ABC News 10 and on Hulu, CBS News 8 including CBSNews.com and the CBS News app and by CBS on Paramount+ and Pluto TV, by Fox News, KPBS, NBC News, NBC News NOW, Noticias Telemundo as well as MSNBC on cable tv, streaming Peacock and online at MSNBC.com, as well as on Youtube by many providers including by CNN, KPBS and USA Today.

Radio listeners can tune in on Siriusxm and KPBS 89.5 fm. This is by no means an exhaustive list of all the places that will be simulcasting the big event between the two Presidents.

Project 2025

I've read the agenda awhile bac, and found it frightening to know what the goal is!

Biden 2024

Joe had a bad night, He was great in NC today. Vote for policy not politicians. Economics? Freedoms? Women's Rights? Take a peek at Project 2025 if you think its a tough choice.

democracy? no

There is 33% Satisfaction With U.S. System of Government (Gallup) and 58% citizens say Direction of Country is wrong track here (Real Clear Politics).

No surprise here

For the last year I said Biden is not the real candidate. Here is what really happened. The Dems and Obama could not convince Joe to drop out, so they let the debate happen very early to show they need to replace him now, well before the convention. It was an intentional move by the Dems led by Obama to get rid of him and Kamala. Pay attention to Josh Shapiro and Whitmer. Newsome was all over the spin room, but there is no chance he is the nominee. Watch for Michelle’s name to resurface, although I do not now think she will be the nominee. Here is the really scary part. Putin, Xi, Kim, the Mullahs, all watched that, and they now know how bad off Biden really is. If they are going to do a major action, now is when. Biden’s weakness and mental incapacity is just encouraging the bad guys to act now. The world was never more dangerous than it is this morning. When even the CNN panel said this was a disaster, you know it is over for Biden.

It would be very difficult to replace Biden now,and here's why.

First, there's no procedure to do so unless he voluntarily withdraws, as delegates are pledged to him.

Second, even if Biden withdrew and Dems named someone else, at least three states have laws that could prevent any other candidate from appearing on ballots. Georgia, for instance, has a law that only death will allow a change of candidates after a certain date, which has already passed.

The more likely scenario would be the party retains Biden and if he wins,  he could step down at some point if he felt unable to serve as President (or his advisors/family conviunced him this was in the best interest of the nation) and Kamala Harris would become president.  Or the 25th amendment could be invoked if whoever wins is found by top cabinet officials and Congressoinal leaders to be unfit to lead due to mental or physical impairment, though the latter is a very tough path to attain.

Of course it's possible Biden just wasn't feeling well due to the cold he had, which does account for the hoarseness.  He needs to get out for more live appearance and interviews without a teleprompter so that the public can better judge whether this was an off night due to illness, or a long-term situation.

Snooze...

A sad, rather lackluster 'debate' in which neither candidate impressed me. Both failed miserably on the Pinocchio test in my humble opinion. Far too many lies and truth bending, combined with finger pointing as usual. It's going be a very tough decision on who to vote for in the next presidential election.
