April 2, 2016  (Ramona) – East County Magazine subscribers are invited to join us to savor “Mountain Magic” at the beautiful Vineyard Grant James (25260  Old Julian Highway) in the heart of Ramona's wine region on Saturday April 16 from 1-4 p.m.  (Not yet a subscriber? Join free.)

This very special afternoon will include wonderful wine-tasting, savoring Cheeses from the Cave gourmet cheeses, fresh fruits, chocolates crafted by master chocolate-maker GB Treats  and other delectable delights, plus live music by the award-winning Baja Blues Brothers and a wealth of prizes!

Drawing and silent auction prizes include mountain getaway vacation, wine lovers’ baskets,  gardener’s gifts,  hand-crafted pottery, yoga, personal training, Santee Lakes family fun pack, Mountain Hempire gift basket, bookstore gift certificate, music CDs, coffee lovers basket, and more!

Mix and mingle with the media – meet our editor, reporters and radio show hosts and tell us what news you’d like covered in your community.  Enjoy gorgeous mountain views from the outdoor stone terrace at Vineyard Grant James.

All proceeds benefit our nonprofit news and our East County Wildfire & Emergency alerts, helping us keep people safe and informed across our region.

Take I-8 east to highway 67 north. (Note: 67 becomes highway 78 at 10th Street in Ramona)

Continue straight on CA-78.

•At 3rd Street, turn right (just past the Ramona Valley Grill Restaurant – note this restaurant is shut down). 3rd Street will turn into Old Julian Highway.

•At the 2.0 mile marker, turn left to stay on Old Julian Highway—do NOT go straight.

•After turning left, continue until you reach the winery at 25260 OId Julian Highway.  You will see the vineyard on the left hand side of the Highway. There are large rocks and a utility pole at the entrance. If you get to Creek Hollow Drive you have gone about 100 yards too far.
