May 12, 2017 (San Diego) — Award-winning journalist Amy Goodman, host of the nationally syndicated Democracy Now! radio show, will speak and sign her book, Democracy Now! Covering the Movements Changing America at a benefit for KNSJ Radio and Activist San Diego on Tuesday, May 16 at St. Paul’s Cathedral Episcopal, 2728 Sixth Ave in San Diego from 7-9 p.m.   Cost is $20 at the door t $16 in advance through Evenbrite.com; see “Amy Speaks to SD.”

Goodman has been covering grassroots movements challenging the establishment including resistance to Donald Trump. She has also been on the forefront of climate change issues for over 20 years, covering conferences around the world and interviewing top scientists, writers, policy makers, activists, indigenous leaders and academics.  Democracy Now! continues to fight for decent treatment of a planet we all share.

A special VIP reception will be held before the event from 5-6:45 p.m.  for $75 and includes food, wine and cheese, plus reserved seating and a welcome by Lori Saldana, Mike Aguirre and Georgette Gomez.
