May 22, 2013 (San Diego’s East County) – It’s been a long haul, but KNSJ has finally got the green light to bring you people-powered radio, a radio station by the people and for the people.  A crew of five people went up Monument Peak to mount the custom-built, $15,000 antenna atop a tower.

Now you’re invited to join in celebration at a fun-draiser including dinner and comedy show on Wednesday, May 22 at Haritna Middle Eastern Restaurant in La Mesa. A buffet dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by a live comedy show at 7:30—all for $18.

A cash bar will be open to guests and you will also have an opportunity to win drawing prizes.  The restaurant has outside patios with heat lamps and free parking behind.

Come bring a friend – or come solo and make some new ones at this historic event.

Haritna is located at 7303 El Cajon Blvd. in La Mesa 91942.

KNSJ will feature a lively mix of local and syndicated shows, including our own East County Magazine Live! Program.  Broadcasts will commence on 89.1 FM as soon as the FCC completes final testing, anticipated in the very near future, so stay tuned!
