February 14, 2023 (Descanso) – KNSJ radio needs the community to show some love this Valentine’s Day and help get the station back on the air.  The January 29 ice storm caused significant damage to the station’s transmission tower that was struck by a 35-pound block of ice which fell from a T-Mobile tower above.

Preliminary estimates indicate it will cost approximately $1,400 to get the nonprofit, public interest station back on the air.  So far about half of that amount has been raised. You can donate at  www.KNSJ.org/donate.

KNSJ broadcasts from high atop Monument Peak on Mount Laguna near Descanso. The East County Magazine radio show, which is dedicated to covering news and issues in East County, airs on KNSJ 89.1FM on Mondays and Fridays at 5 p.m., with reruns Tuesdays at 9 a.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m.

Please help get the station and our radio show back on the air! If just 35 people give $20 each, the goal can soon be reached. www.KNSJ.org/donate.
