November 1, 2015 (La Mesa) - The La Mesa Chamber is beginning to gather items for the 22 seniors that the Chamber adopts each year during the holidays. This will allow time to wrap all of the items, prepare all of the gift baskets and purchase the items needed we believe will make this holiday so special for these wonderful members of our community!” says Chamber president Mary England.
Suggested items you can purchase to donate to this year’s gift baskets: 22 canned soups, 22 canned vegetables, 22 canned fruits, 22 packets of crackers, 22 packets of pasta or macaroni & cheese, 18 slipper socks for women, 4 pairs of men’s socks, Gift cards in any denomination from the following locations: Walmart, Target, or any grocery store, 22 pens and pads of paper.
