November 6, 2017 (La Mesa) – La Mesa Mayor Mark Arapostathis issued a proclamation to honor Eula Bell Haver, who celebrated her 102nd birthday on October 27th at the Montera in La Mesa.

She was born on October 27, 1915 in Alabama and had a twin sister named Clara Belle, now deceased. She enjoyed life as a housewife while her husband served in the military. She was known as the neighborhood Mom, often serving homemade spaghetti and inviting everyone over to eat. She has one son, Larry.

She loves pecan pie, dogs, the color red, playing Bingo, and enjoys being pampered by having her hair and nails done. She can often be heard singing the song “You Are My Sunshine” throughout the day.
